Our Learning
Here at St Joseph's we love to share our Learning. We share our learning in different forms. From visiting our classrooms to our digital platform Hero.
In Class
Parents and Whanau are welcome to visit our classrooms before or after school to check out our learning. Some of our learning might be displayed on the classroom walls, in books or on a Chromebook.
The students really enjoy showing the family/whanau their work/Mahi that they have produced in the classrooms. So take the opportunity to pop in and see the progress made!

See-Saw
See-Saw is an app that our Junior School love to share their learning on. The teachers post pieces of the student’s work so that parents and whanau can see all the mahi they have done at school.
Seesaw is a platform for student engagement that inspires students of all ages to do their best, and saves teachers time! Students use creative tools to take pictures, draw, record videos and more to capture learning in a portfolio. Teachers find or create activities to share with students. The Seesaw platform is used for homework activities as well as in classwork.
Parents are also notified by the class teacher about classroom and school activities and events via the Seesaw platform. Parents can also Seesaw their child’s teacher.
Families only have access to their child’s journal. This means you will see student work tagged with your child’s name and posts the teacher tags with ‘Everyone’. Families will also be able to see any comment made by another user on their child’s journal posts.
Download the app or open Seesaw here.
