Remote learning can be beneficial for student engagement. Continuing to develop knowledge and skills outside of the classroom can create life-long learners and enhance student’s interest in subject contents during in-class time. Learning happens all the time!
There are many online resources students can use that allow them to stregthen their understanding of topics covered in class. We understand, and want to emphasize, that these resources are for enhancing learning and not for mandatory homework assignments. There is not an expectation that children work through these programs but can use them on a voluntary basis. Online learning should be kept as stress-free and fun as possible!
These resources can also help supplement learning during time away from school- catching up after missing days due to illness, refreshing concepts before returning from term breaks or to continue learning during holidays or vacation time.
